Interest Rates 5 per cent By Year End: Fund Managers

Published / Last Updated on 31/01/2008

Fund Managers believe that the Bank of England will cut interest rates by at least 0.5 per cent during 2008.

Scottish Widows along with other fund managers expect two interest rate cuts between now and May.

Our view

We have been predicting the first 0.25% in February for nearly 6 months now.  We suggest there may not be another cut in the UK until nearer summer time or indeed after.
