Government Law Change on Sir Fred’s Pension?
On television this weekend, Harriet Harman suggested that the Government may introduce new laws to try and force Sir Fred Goodwin, former head of the failed Royal Bank of Scotland Group (RBS), to give up some of his pension of £693,000 per year.
RBS last week posted the heaviest UK company loss ever at £24bn. The Government has been heavily criticised by the Conservatives for agreeing this huge pension deal for Sir Fred.
