Within just a few weeks of the chancellor's budget decision to raise the Stamp Duty threshold from £60,000 to £120,000, estate agents around the country are already seeing the first signs of improvement in the first time buyer property market.
Indications show that it is not just the lower end of the property market that will benefit from the change, as agents at the top end also expecting increased activity, but in London, very few people will benefit from the rise in Stamp Duty, as there are not many properties in that area below the threshold.

Only some will benefit but most will not - an exercise in public relations only.
