Credit Card Cheques Ban
The Government is to reveal today its proposals for reforming the credit industry in the UK in a bid to wean us of debt and credits.
Suggestions are likely to include:
- Banning Credit Card Cheques
- Banning Cash Withdrawals on Credit Cards
- Imposing stricter rules on basic lending policy when issuing credit cards
- Setting appropriate and affordable credit limits
It is thought that any new rules may leave Credit Card companies wide open to non-recovery of debt if their credit limit policy is not suitable and affordable for a borrower.
