Brown Bank Bonus Pressure

Gordon Brown has reaffirmed his committment to keep up the pressure on Bank pay structures with a further call to restrict the higher risk bonus culture at banks by suggesting that "clawbacks" of bonuses should be made where banks do well but then subsequently underperform.

Interesting point Mrt Brown.  Could your suggestion be directed also to MPs.  Some of which alledgedly made errors with the expense claims and others who rarely are seen at Parliament given the amount of holidays available or indeed fail to do what their electorate have told them to do?

We suggest not.  Whilst the clawback idea is not a bad one, as ever it is one rule for one and another for 'public servants'.
