Bank of England Reduces Interest Rates to 1.5%

The Bank of England Monetary Policy Committee met today and has again voted to reduce Bank Base rates.

Rates have been cut by 0.5% to 1.5% in light of the economic slowdown and in the hope that it will stimulate the economy as well as encourage banks to start lending to each other.
