50% People Have No Will

Half of the UK population have no Will according to a survey by Standard Life and 75 per cent have not signed a power of attorney.

The survey also revealed that over 40 per cent have not told their families the whereabouts of important documents.

Our view

Having no Will puts additional strain on your loved ones.  Having no Will means you die intestate and your affairs have to be sent to the probate court.  Having no Will may even mean that Prince Charles inherits your estate.
