The Office for Budget Responsibility has forecast increased government revenue of just under £16bn will be paid on property taxes in 2022.  It also forecasts that the number of property transactions will increase to 1.29 million properties in 2022.

In analysing this data, Coventry Building Society suggests that in a post pandemic world, more people will be in a position to move up or down the ladder compared to recent times.

Given property price increases, it is inevitable that stamp duty tax revenue will increase.
