200,000 Council Job Losses Warning

GMB Union have warned that around 200,000 jobs will be cut by councils this year as a result of funding cuts, with redundancies being made before end of March.

Thousands of notices have already been sent to public sector workers advising that their position is at risk, but the GMB believe many more would soon be sent out.
