1 in 3 Pensioners In Poverty! Don't Let It Be You

Published / Last Updated on 13/02/2002

According to insurance giant, Prudential, 1 in 3 pensioners are surviving in poverty.  They have started a new retirement index which puts the average income of 3.3m pensioners at less than £192 per week.  The appropriate word being "surviving" not living.

Many have even taken to working part time to supplement their income.  Even more keep their heating to a minimum in winter to keep costs down.

This "could be you!"   To coin a prize draw line and 'point the finger'.  People need to plan and save for their own retirement.  Do you really think that the Government are going to look after you?
