Our View

When interviewing for a vacancy you have to take a lot of the information you are given on trust.  In the initial stages there is no way of checking out the information you have been provided with.  The only way that most companies will find out if the CV content was ˜sexed-up" is if the candidate is taken on and does not live up to the picture painted at interview.  In the financial services industry it is far easier to check on professional qualifications but, as the years go on, checking academic qualifications and experience will increasingly get harder.
