Interest Rates Unchanged

Published / Last Updated on 03/03/2004

The Monetary Policy Committee has left the Bank of England base rate unchanged for March at 4%.  This follows last month's increase by 0.25%, no change was made today.

Our view

Not unexpected - but be aware - the economy (particularly housing) is still not really slowing down.  Our prediction - 0.25% rate increase within three months!
