Corus, Britain's biggest steel manufacturer, has been in the news for some time regarding the pension scheme for workers. The workers union, the ISTC have become involved and have threatened strike action in order to protect the company's final salary pension scheme for employees now and in the future. There has been talk regarding closure of the final salary scheme but no-one seems happy. The pension fund accounts will be looked at in September and published and a review of the scheme will be done.
