Unemployment To Slowly Rise

Unemployment To Slowly Rise.

According to the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), they are predicting that the jobs market will get worse in the medium term as companies delay recruiting more staff amid the global economic chaos.

The quarterly survey also revealed reduced recruitment as well as fewer redundancies.  The number of UK employers planning to outsource work overseas had also fallen considerably in the last 3 months.

According to CIPD public policy adviser Gerwyn Davies, the good news resulting from this fall in business activity is that fewer employers are looking to relocate abroad or make redundancies.  But, the downside is that with recruitment intentions dropping, it will inevitably result in further rises in unemployment.
