A recent report conducted by Independent Financial Adviser Promotion, the financial advisers lobbying group, showed that pensioners are not claiming all of the pension credits that are due to them. There is a pot of around £2billion of unclaimed credits, with up to 44per cent of pensioners not realising what they are entitled to.
It has been reported that saving habits have improved, but we are still not realising the benefit of a good pension and are not making additional voluntary contributions to company pensions.
