UK Officially in Recession

The UK is now officially in recession as our Gross Domestic Product (GDP) fell fro the second successive quarter.

In the last three months economic output fell by 1.5% on top of the 0.6% fall in the previous three months.

On the back of these figures, FTSE has dipped below 4,000 and the pound dropped to a 25 year low against the dollar of £1 to $1.36.
