Recent rumours that Swiss Life (UK) were up for sale, have now been confirmed.
Swiss Life’s press release said that "following a lengthy strategic review in the Swiss Life Group, it decided to focus on mainstream life products – pensions, savings and risk business in mainland Europe. Swiss Life UK has emerged from the review as a specialist protection player in the UK only and the decision has been made by the Group to sell Swiss Life UK".
If you have Swiss Life policies, don’t panic. The company is still very much open for business and they have no timescales in mind yet for sale. They have also given commitment to continue to support the UK business.
