According to Legal & General, the UK equity market represents a more attractive option than leaving money in a deposit account. They believe that the FTSE 100 index will continue to rise in the medium term, offering investors a better return than they may get by leaving their money in a bank account.

As ever stocks and shares may perform well over the medium to longer terms when compared to cash.
However, the biggest concern for us for any investor is that they understand the risks that they are taking. Stockmarkets are volatile and do FALL in value as well as rise. If you understand this then you can prepare for the worst as well as the good.
