Standard Life is to mail ballot sheets to its 2.6 million members shortly, so they can vote for the candidates they would like on the life office's board.
The packs to be sent out will include 200 word statements of intent from the three independent candidates who have achieved the 250 votes needed to be considered for election, and the six existing board members that Standard Life is putting up for re-election.
