Smaller Employers Are Not Scrooges At Christmas

Published / Last Updated on 15/12/2005

New research has found that staff at small and medium-sized firms are more likely to get a Christmas present or a party from their employer than their counterparts in big business.

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development's Reward Management 2006 survey found that 75% of firms employing up to 49 staff pay for a Christmas party, and 13% provide a gift.  Only two fifths of firms employing more than 5,000 staff provide a party, and just 2% provide a gift.
