Royal Sun Alliance Shuts Offices

Published / Last Updated on 09/01/2003

In a bid to cut costs and streamline the company, the insurer Royal Sun Alliance (RSA) has said they will close eight offices within six months.  A director for the insurer said that by improving speed and efficiency their underwriting and operations would improve, benefiting everyone with increased service levels. The offices are located around the country with the majority around Scotland.  This means that their Glasgow office will be the only one left in Scotland. Around 100 jobs will be lost but the insurer has said that most staff will be offered jobs within the rest of the organisation.
