Public Sector Pay Fairness

The government have been advised that the top pay in the public sector should not normally be more than 20 times that of the lowest paid worker, ensuring that the pay of the highest paid executives in the public sector is fair.

This follows a report by Will Hutton of the Work Foundation who found that in the past decade their pay had risen faster than that of the low earning staff.
