Prudential is back in the news again with some very positive news about new 'with profits' fund investors. In simple terms, new investors who choose to invest their money in Prudential's with profits fund are being offered protection by Prudential saying that any growth achieved and their right to future bonuses will be protected. This means that Prudential will not penalise new investors with reduced bonuses, as they along with many other companies attempt to recover from the poor investment climate over the last few years.
Our view:
This is great news and gives security and peace of mind for new investors. We would like to see more companies doing the same. Food for thought - Prudential say the returns/bonuses will be "protected"
