Prudential AIA Rumours

Prudential has confirmed it is again in discussions with AIG regarding alterations of the terms of its controversial £24.5bn proposed takeover of AIA.  The insurer’s shares rose 7% today on rumours the deal could be scrapped.

Our View: This deal continues to concern investors of all types and this is the first sign that the deal could be under threat.
