Property In North Outstripping South

Published / Last Updated on 18/08/2004

Latest figures from the Land Registry show that property in the North has moved up by an average of 25% in the last year compared to 9.7% in the South.

Our View

If we add to this the fact that property values are actually starting to fall in the south, we believe that yet again the North/South divide will narrow again.

The North will also eventually hit a slowdown cycle as it tends to timelag behind the south by about 12 months.

Expect property falls all over the UK by the end of this year.
