A new service has been launched to help people track down their "missing billions". The service, Funds Reunited, claims to be able to search banks, building societies and insurance companies at limited costs.
For £15 FU will search 46 Banks, 63 Building Soceties and National Savings & Investments (post office savings to you and I).
For £20 you get a further 5 insurance companies, £30 for 20 insurance companies and £45 will scan 40.
Our view
An absolutely fantastic deal if it works well. We can only really see it being relevant though for searches on death for estate valuation and probate services. Most people alive should have some idea where their money is.
Will it work? We thought the Treasury was "eyeing up" these missing billions to fund compensation schemes and pension safety nets!
