A recent survey of 2,200 people by Engage Mutual Assurance revealed that whilst almost 40% wanted to purchase a property abroad for their retirement, the actual number that did was less than 10%.
Engage said: “with the average State pension paying £82.05 per week, financial limitations often prevent Britons from fulfilling their more adventurous aspirations in retirement”.
