Mortgage Approvals Up

According to the Bank of England, approvals for home loans increased in November with approvals for house purchases standing at 48,019 and approvals for remortgaging were up to 34,262.

The small increase in mortgage approvals for house purchases is still below the average of the previous six months figure of 48,145.  This shows that mortgage lending remained subdued at the end of 2010.
