
More Banking Systems Problems at NatWest.
More banking system problems as two of the UK's biggest financial companies - NatWest and Nationwide were hit by account problems.
The problem at NatWest caused a lot of the their customers difficulties with making debit card payments and unable to use online banking. Over at Nationwide an error resulted in 704,426 customers payments being taken twice.
Nationwide announced that this was a human error which led to the double payments. The company also stated that anyone affected by the double payments on Tuesday, would be sorted Wednesday and corrected overnight.
This is just the latest problems with banks and building societies, in June a number of Ulster Bank customers lost access to their cash for a month, after a software error failed to update their balances. RBS and NatWest banking systems are part of the same group and were affected also.
NatWest customers are now facing more banking system problems after debit card payments were being turned down, as well as online banking system problems with the online systems not working properly.
