The Office of National Statistics has revealed that the average salary in London is in excess of £41,759.
The national salary average is far lower at £28,941.
Our view
For people living outside London reading this an average salary of over £41,000 sounds fantastic.
However, the cost of living in London is far higher than anywhere else in the country and many people would struggle to buy a home and live on the average London salary.
