The Treasury is to publish its mortgage regulations this week. The Treasury confirmed that the regulations will be final without further consultation with the industry, although they are contingent on the Insurance Intermediaries Directive due in September 2002, implemented by the European Parliament.
The Financial Services Authority (FSA), the financial services industry regulator), will consult on how the regulations are to be implemented.
