Lloyds Job Slash.

Lloyds Banking Group are planning to cut 10% of its workforce over the next three years. The cuts are to coincide with its three year strategic plan.

Lloyds are expected to make a full announcement about the plans next week as well as releasing its third quarter figures. The job cuts which will be around 9,000 staff are thought to be linked to consumers moving from in branch to online banking and as a result Lloyds are closing some branches.

These cuts are being added on top of the 15,000 staff cut announced in 2011, of which 13,555 have already been made, as of July this year. The total number of staff cut stood as 30,000 since 2008.
