Lloyds Bank Cards Now Working.

Up to 30 million Lloyds Banking Group may have experienced problems using their debit cards for a few hours yesterday.

Lloyds Banking Group consists of Lloyds Bank, TSB Bank, The Halifax and Bank of Scotland and is the largest retail banking group in the UK, still majority owned by the State.

TSB CEO Paul Pester issued an apology via Twitter.

Comment

We are aware that Lloyds Banking Group is going through huge system changes with its “Operation Verde” with the segmentation of Lloyds Bank from TSB Bank and we can only imagine that Sunday is an ideal time to upgrade systems, servers, back-ups or software or indeed make changes for Operation Verde.

It cannot be easy for such a huge group with 30 million customers and no doubt their techies worked long and hard to fix.

No doubt, a stream of complaints will follow as many people would have been unable to pay for their groceries, fuel or other purchases.
