Interest Rates Up 0.25% to 5.50%

The Bank of England policy committee has met today and raised interest rates yet again by another 0.25%.

This means that base rates are now at 5.50% pa again trying to increase pressure on the property market.

Our view

An interest rate rise was expected by all.  We now expect to see one further rise this summer.
