Many economists and pundits, including ourselves, are predicting no interest rate increase next month following this month's decision not to increase again.
However, like us, they all expect an early Christmas present in November of a further 0.25%.
Our view
We stick with all our original forecasts. Another 0.25% in November and then two more 0.25% rises by June 2005 and then rates to start to fall again in early 2006.
