Woman and Home Magazine

According to a survey carried out by Icesave and Woman and Home Magazine, British women aged 40 plus are more in control of their finances than ever before.

More than a third of those surveyed said they were seeking advice on their finances from Financial Advisers, 30 per cent read the money pages and 40 per cent used money advice websites.

Icesave found that women were found to be living more independent financial lives from their partners than before, where a third of those surveyed were the main breadwinner, nearly 40 per cent having a separate savings account.

Our view

Irrespective of status or financial independence, we all need to take professional independent financial planning advice.
