According to the Halifax House Prices Index, house prices in the UK rose by 1.8% in October, 2010.
This news follows falling house prices for August and September 2010.
The average property in the UK is now valued at £164,919 and is up 1.2% from the same time last year.
Lenders are not predicting property to continue to fall but in pockets, prices will vary, some will rise and others will fall as employment confidence changes depending upon where you live.
