Research by agency RAKM has found that 60% of us would rather spend money on a holiday rather than pay it into a pension.
Our view
What a shock! We would all rather be on holiday enjoying ourselves rather than saving for our future. The Social Security system in the UK benefits those who do not save, do not work and cannot be bothered!
If you have too much when you retire you just get penalised. Mr Blair, Mr Brown and any future heirs apparent – please wake up and smell the coffee! Education and subsistence level benefits are the only way forward. Take Spain for example – if you do not work you get nothing! In the UK if you do not work you get a house, a car, food, heating money and much more!
This country, we are sorry to say, is “going to the dogs”! Is it any surprise many are choosing to retire overseas?
