There is no permanent or inherent cost in taking an ethical investment stance.  However the our research indicates that there is a small cost in terms of slightly higher volatility or risk.  

We have also found a close correlation between the performance and volatility of ethical funds and those of small and mid-cap funds.  

Our view

Socially responsible investments and alternative energy themes are very much in vogue and care needs to be taken when investing.  This is a huge growth area and we suggest that take a look at our green investment channel.
