Finance Companies Give Poor Service

Research sponsored by The Hartford found less than one in five British consumers believe they get good customer care from financial services firms.  The research found customer service is a critical issue for users of financial services companies, with 38 per cent having switched firms as a result of poor service.

Seventy-six per cent of the respondents said that customer service was either the number one reason or a key reason why they chose a provider.  However, only 19 per cent of British adults who have used financial services firms rated them as ‘good’ or ‘very good’ at providing good customer care.
