Equitable Life Reinstates Bonuses

Equitable Life announced it has immediately reintroduced annual bonuses of 3.5% on with profits pension policies. It has also announced the 2% reduction in values imposed in March 2009 for with profits pensions has been removed, thereby increasing the values by 2%.
Equitable Life has also increased annual bonuses on UK life with profits policies by 2.8% and increased policy values by 1.6%.
Given the state of the economy and the fact that stock markets are still relatively low, this is an excellent move by Equitable Life. It should restore a small amount of faith for those holding Equitable policies.
