Energy Complaints Rise.

It has been found that complaints about the energy sector have shot up in the first three months of the year. The energy sector has been in the firing line recently with investigations being performed in many different areas from money being owed to competition between firms.

Complaints hit 3 times the amount seen last year, with billing being the main culprit that the Energy Ombudsman received. 10,638 complaints were forwarded to the ombudsman.

This year has already seen the energy sector spark many political debates over gas and electricity bills. Around 2,000 complaints were received regarding people not receiving bills and over 1,000 were about the bills themselves.

Although there have been many complaints made, not all will be justified.
