Employer Knife Edge Too Many Staff.
A report by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) has shown that many employers are facing a “make or break situation” and if the economy doesn't pick up then many employers will face having to make job cuts to keep their businesses alive.
The report has shown that nearly two thirds of all private sector employers had kept on more staff then they needed, avoiding loss of skilled workers when the economy picks up. However the Office for National Statistics (ONS) has produced a report saying that unemployment had fallen in 2012 by just under 0.1 million.
