Critical Illness Pay Outs At Pru Released

Prudential have paid out 80% or 487 of its total critical illness claims in 2005, at a cost of £12.3 million. Claims accepted were worth an average of £48,603. Of the 62 claims that were refused, 33 did not meet illness definition and 29 were refused for non-disclosure.

Our view

If an illness is covered, the insured sum will no doubt be paid out.
