Councils Should Off Sell Prime Houses.
The Policy Exchange think tank has commented saying that local councils should think about selling off more expensive houses and then reinvest the money they make into building affordable houses for people.
Selling all the expensive vacant houses in the UK would generate an extra £4.5bn a year which would mean an extra 100,000+ new social houses could be built providing the building industry with work.
The policy exchange think tank also commented that social tenants do deserve a house but not one that is better then what working people can afford.
