In its annual report the Financial Services Industry Consumers Panel has again criticised the industry for not doing enough to simplify products, terms and conditions.
Our view
Difficult one. We are dealing with legally binding contracts so simplicity and protection for both the consumer and indeed the contract provider does tend to get wrapped up in legal jargon.
If something is too simple, and therefore offeres too much cover or has too wide a wording, would you be prepared to pay substantially more for it? We think may be not.
