Commercial Property Rises

Commercial Property Rises

Norwich Union has seen the first rise in commercial property since December last year, but says it is too soon to say if it has bottomed out.  Their fortnightly property fund valuations show its property investment fund has seen a small rise of 0.02 per cent although its flagship property trust fell by 0.76 per cent.

Our view

We suggest that property investment funds will see rises as people come back.  Some suggest that there will still be problems as getting cash inflows will be difficult.  We suggest this may not be the case.  People will want to invest money before unit prices are adjusted up.  If you are going to reinvest in property now is the time.  If you are thinking of getting out, do not.
