Clerical Medical Brand To Disappear
Clerical Medical Insurance Group was previously part of the Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBOS) Group.
Lloyds TSB are parent owners of Scottish Widows.
Following the takeover of HBOS by Lloyds TSB to form the subsequent Lloyds Banking Group and then subsequent nationalisation of the group. The Lloyds Banking Group found itself owning two brand name insurers.
As a result, the smaller of the two, Clerical Medical will disappear.
