Cheques To Stay.
The Payments Council have announced that they will not be getting rid of cheques. They had been planning to replace them by 2018, but following massive criticism from MPs and charities, they have decided they will now retain them.
According to the Nationwide building society, scrapping cheques would have had major consequences for the elderly, small businesses and charities that rely on this method of payment.
