A survey by Mori, commissioned by leading Charity Remember A, has found that when it comes to making a Will, most people do not consider making gifts or donations to charities and the number that do is falling.
Gifts in your Will to a Charity a free from Inheritance Tax and many charities rely on these donations to survive.
Our view
This research, whilst not surprising, is a shame. Many Charities do excellent work for the community although we do have concerns over some, where the vast majority of monies donated, that are supposed to reach the "needy", do not always get there.
